Saynoto0870 Review

With the recent increase in the number of telephone companies offering free landline calls, it is no surprise that many people feel quite unhappy dialling premium numbers particularly when they have to wait in a queue for over 5 minutes trying to speak to a customer service officer.

Enter www.saynoto0870.com! A website that provides alternative (free) numbers to premium UK numbers such as 0800, 0808, 0844, 0845, 0870 and 0871. The website database consists of many popular companies and their “equivalent geographical numbers”.

This affords users the opportunity to make important phone calls at local landline rates or even free, for example, if your phone operator does not charge any money for making landline calls. Saynoto0870 is also very useful for mobile phone users that do not have free ’08’ numbers included in their bundles and for others who prefer to use (an international call card’s) local access number to make international calls.

Furthermore, Saynoto0870 is very easy to navigate and users can either search for alternative numbers by searching for a company name or a particular telephone number. Alternative numbers can also be added to the database from the discussion forum (where other users are also willing to help search for numbers not yet listed in the database) or by simply clicking the “add a new alternative number” menu on the navigation bar.

Summary

The design and navigation is very basic and most users will find it simple and direct to the point. In addition, users do not have to register to find an alternative number and many (like myself) find out that this web site does actually save some money in the long run. However, more can still be done in the area of number verification and inclusion of well established multi-national organisations in their database.

Thanks for the support. I am moderator on the forum and also spend a lot of time working on the database.

The site is a great resource as it allows users to share alternative numbers they find. As there is no monetary charge for the service, it relies on volunteers to maintain it.

User feedback is imperative. I encourage postings to be made in the forum citing numbers which are unverified and do work, so they may be promoted to the verified listings. And likewise for numbers that don’t work, so they can be removed so as to prevent fellow users from wasting their time trying.

This helps improve the quality of the site’s alternative numbers listings, which is to the benefit of all users. It is also a way of putting something back into the site, it having helped by providing working alternatives.

Finding alternative numbers is not the responsibiliy of a select few with suitable qualifications. Anyone who identifies a company which isn’t listed should do all they can to find an alternative, posting their findings on what they’ve found in the Requests section of our forum. By “findings” I am referring to any information known about the said organisation such as address, which may be useful to others in looking for an alternative.

If the author has identified some companies which aren’t listed, then it would be more productive that he or she posted on our site, rather than sounding off that other’s input is not good enough.
